Wow, what a year of change! The staff, office and resources are moved to Mississippi; very soon we will have our 1-888-LEW-SOTM number working again in Mississippi. Daniel Sterrett, Charlotte Jackson, and Tekoa Miller have teamed up, both for scheduling of events and processing orders, and for handling most matters pertaining to SOTM and my personal schedule. The Pennsylvania team has been instrumental in helping us get on our feet, and you the public, have been very patient with the process; thank you!
The work in Mississippi is going well and the fruits of this new outreach are becoming more and more evident to the rest of the French Camp Academy (FCA) family and the surrounding community. Staff and apprentices provide direct ministry to the French Camp Academy student body and extended outreaches to their families and community. Our primary responsibilities at FCA include oversight of the camp, conference, and equestrian center with some emphasis on leadership development programs. Needless to say, there are plenty of opportunities and we are challenged greatly. Help has arisen in some of the most unlikely ways.
FCA has begun construction on the equestrian center upgrade that will provide a large covered arena and a new outdoor arena. Upgrades in the barns and equipment will be needed in the future. In the meantime, new literature has been prepared to introduce the brand new ministries available to youth, adults, and families under the banner of Rising Son Ministries (RSM) at French Camp Academy.
In partnership with Miracle Mountain Ranch (MMR), RSM will host their first SALT week and youth conference on February 7-15; Horse Lover’s weekends and a full slate of horse camps will be introduced this spring and summer. Another new venture comes under the banner of Coaching 4 Life (C4L).
